Google’s Most Searched Of 2014: People, Things And Trends

 

Google has released its annual list of the most googled people, trends and things. The list covers Current Affairs, How To, Politicians, Searches, South African People and What Is. From the Oscar Pistorius Trial and Ebola outbreak to Julius Malema and Senzo Meyiwa. Julius Malema was the most searched politician followed by President Jacob Zuma and Musi Maimane, Lindiwe Mazibuko who left the DA to further her studies, with Kgalema Motlanthe wrapping up the Top 5. These are the were top searched trends and people of 2014 in South Africa.

From the court house of Oscar Pistoriu’s trial to Boity Thulo’s bum which practically broke the internet. This was also Cassper’s Nyovest’s breakout year. Winning awards, performing for thousands of people and buying a new house and car, 2014 was the year of the rapper. The success stories didn’t come with some sad realities though. Soccer star Senzo Meyiwa died tragically while legendary radio host Eddie Zondie who a a short illness before his sudden death in a Jo’Burg hospital.
