Uncertain Terms: A New Collective Art Exhibition

In a new exhibition titled Uncertain Terms, fourteen artists have come together in the name of art. The group exhibition which is presented by What If The World Gallery in Cape Town features artists from Zimbabwe, South Africa and Nigeria, among them familiar names such as Athi-Patra Ruga and Lakin Ogunbawo as well as Zimbabwean artists Moffat Takadiwa and  Dan Halter. The exhibition explores themes and ideas on social and economic issues – depiction of history, thought less consumption, gender, symbolic representations of government as well as African studio photography among other things.

‘The exhibition brings together a group of artists who engage with changing dynamics, either in response to formal issues of materiality within their practice, or as a reaction to broader socio-political themes”. – What If The World
