Jaden and Willow Smith are officially the most philosophically deepest set of teenagers l have ever come across. In a recent interview with T Magazine, the siblings talk about their theory on life, education, time and holographic realities and conciseness  among other things. Even from the stuff they are currently reading, which they reveled in the interview, one can easily tell they’re no ordinary teenagers, certainly not the ones who see and interpret anything at face value.Throughout the interview the pair maintain they’re defying attitude towards ideas and teachings set by society. On what they’re reading; Quantum physics: Osho for Willow and The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life for Jaden, which revolves around mysteries of the world and beings.

Here with some things we learnt from their interview. I have to admit, I was feeling quite dizzy and light-headed after reading it but more than anything I was fascinated. Some of it made sense and a lot of it didn’t.

When asked about their experience with time:

Willow: “I can make it go slow or fast however l please and that’s how l know it doesn’t exist”.

Jaden: “It’s proven that how time moves for you depends on where you are in the universe. But on the level of being here on earth, if you are aware in moment one second can last a year’.

On how their work has improved:

Willow: “Caring less what everybody else thinks but also caring less and less about what your own mind thinks. Because what your own mind thinks, sometimes is the the thing that makes you sad”.

Jaden: “Exactly, because your mind has a duality to it. So when one thought goes into your mind, its not just one thought, it has to bounce off both hemispheres of the brain. When you’re thinking about something happy, you’re thinking about something sad.

On breathing:

Willow: “Breathing is how you get in touch with the sacred space of your heart”. When they’re in the stomach (kids) they’re so aware. putting all their bones together, putting all their ligaments together. But they’re shocked by this harsh world”.

Jaden: “When babies are born, their soft spots bump – it has like a heartbeat in it. It’s prana energy because they still breathe through their stomach. They remember. Babies remember”.

On school and education:

Willow: “I went to school for one year. It was the best experience but the worst experience. The best experience because l was like, oh now l know why kids are so depressed. But it was the worst experience because l was depressed.

Jaden: “You never learn anything in school”.

On School kids:

Willow: “They never want to do anything. They’re always tired”.
